The Artful Gardens Gardens of Fort Myers
Help Better the Lives of the Disabled Community at Artful Gardens
As our society continues to expand and advance every single day, many people are left behind in the shadows and have no other choice but to play the same role as every other special needs person in this world. A man named Mark Tracy who realized that there was a lack of resources for autistic and disabled people, created Artful Gardens a few years back in Fort Myers, Florida, to influence the lives of the disabled in a positive way. This organization strives to teach life and job skills to autistic/special need children and adults by utilizing the natural environment as their canvas. Artful Gardens is a safe and nurturing place for disabled people to relax and enjoy their time painting, learning, gardening, playing games, or simply walking the trails to embrace the natural world. Being creative and painting is a way many special needs students learn to communicate with others, and this organization ties in many educational aspects that help them cope with everyday obstacles. In order for this non-profit to maintain their six acres filled with botanical gardens, playgrounds, a pavilion, countless artwork, and statues, they need your help. All Donations go straight to the facility and bettering the lives of special needs people. Contribute to this wonderful cause so it can continue to thrive and offer the special needs community a safe place to grow from within themselves.
